    VF2 mantle art

I just received my VF2 and will be building it up in the next couple days. I am coming off a XCL with a FoxDHX 5air so I am looking forward to comparing the CCDB VF2.

    Vf2 Ccdb

I am thoroughly impressed with the VF2 with the Cane Creek DB. The bike rides far better than my XCL did with the Fox 5dhx. It is way more compliant in the chop but still takes a good hit. I was worried I would not be able to load the suspension to pop over obstacles like a I could with the air shock. I was pleasantly surprised that if you jumped on the pedals you could still get lift. It pedaled pretty well, I did add a couple clicks to the low speed compression from Alan's setup to help a little bobbing. Traction has improved, I was able to get up a hill I previously could not climb with the XCL . I found the bike to be way easier to wheelie/manual and balance. I did notice a little more flex in the rear triangle but nothing too bad. I would think that the carbon fiber added to the much improved ride quality.

I am am totally sold on that shock, I don't think I will ever go back to a air shock. Alan at Chumba really hyped it and I think the CCBD delivers.

    VF2 with ccdb and Lyrik

Loving the bike. No more air shocks for me. The Lyrik is a great improvement over the Pike.

Are you comparing the Lyrik to an air Pike or coil Pike? I am thinking of upgrading to a coil shock in the rear and might upgrade my Dual Air Pike to a coil version.
