Steve Stickel - is he still building and if so, how do I contact him?

Does anyone know if Steve Stickel is still building custom frames? And if he is, does anyone know how to reach him?

He goes by the username of D.F.L. here on MTBR.com

I recently sold my Balfa Belair frame and I'm thinking about having a custom steel mountain bike frame built for XC use and 24 hour type races. I've seen many photos of Steve's work and it looks to be top notch.

I was in touch with him a few times a couple of years ago, but lost his contact info.

    Can anyone help me out?

Or perhaps Steve is still out there perusing this forum.

If so, give me a shout Steve!

    Thanks!

    Mark

I have a 2nd byStickel on the way, set up for my spouse. He makes nice stuff, and likes to add some fine custom touches. I was going to post the bikes in the Custom Builders forum after I received and built them up, but may as well start now...

    Here is my current byStickel:

Thanks for the info and thanks for posting those photos.

I've been in contact with STeve and somewhere in the future I'd love to work with him.

Mark, my guess is that Steve is busy. He's still participating in the Framebuilders Listserv, so that makes me think he's still in the game. Keep after him.

    I'm still here...

And I'm plenty easy to contact (see above). I usually even respond within 1 business day!

I figured I'd better say something before people think I vanished.

yeah thanks for getting in touch with me so quickly Steve.

Steve was super responsive to my inquiries and I hope to work with him on a frame project sometime in the future.

If and when I go custom, I'm almost positive I'll go Bystickel!
