    Silly Question

I just picked up an XCL from a member of the boards here (Thanks Jason), but i have a small question. I recently purchased a Thomson layback for my Specialized, obviously a 30.9. With the XCL coming in at 31.6, do you think i would be able to manage with the 30.9 post on it? There seems like such a small difference with the two, but i would like to hear your guys opinions. I would really hate to have to buy another post when this one is brand new. I already have to buy an E-type der to accommodate the frame and want to save as much money as possible to buy a new Fox fork.

    Thanks for the info fellas...

You're going to have a hard time getting it to work correctly, as there won't be enough tension to hold it in place with your weight on it.

You'll either have to get another post, or find some shims possibly.

Defintely have to try to shim it and it might be to clost to the same size for a shim to work.
