    rear derailleur (xt) hits my EVO frame

    Hi,

    My rear derailleur XT hits very loudly the frame of my EVO. Any thing I can do??

    Does your XT mech have the rubber cover, acts as a bumper? You can put some tape around the chainstay where it's clacking, try to muffle it some. This is pretty common with Shimano on Horst Link style bikes. The new Shimano XT Shadow derailleur addresses the issue, no more clank, and the performs beautiful.

    Cool-blue Rhythm

    Im using a home made cushion to avoid the clack.
    The new XT shadow looks nice.The X9 also has the clack problem??

    The SRAM derailleurs don't have that problem either. At least not the newer X series (X.7, X.9, X.0).

    The new shadow XT/XTR is the best for the EVO or XCL.
