Oh what a feeling! Caution: Ti Hardtail content

Bought this Epic Ti Synergy frame new in June 2004. The company is now www.EverTiBikes.com and handled a warranty torn-off rear derailleur hanger with ease.

A lot of cpmponents have changed but a few recent ones have transformed the bike for me.

Shimano XT Dual Control Rapid Rise with Hydraulic Discs. The shifting is butter smooth and the braking is awesome.

Moots Ti handlebar. The bike feels much more confident at technical singletrack, mud, and high speed gravel road descents.

The fork sucks, maybe? Before the shock seemed so stiff but would never bob. In the bumps it felt like only half the travel was being used and the ride was harsh. Now efficient comes to mind but still harsh.

I don't know the complete weight but seems light for a hardtail with hydraulic discs. Claimed weight of frame is 3.70lbs.

I will upgrade the fork someday to a Fox F100X. Had a chance to ride one of these and it was plush efficent with no bob.

Just feels soooo good when riding a bike that fits you like a glove.

    See you on the trails.
