    Motobecane bikes?

Does anyone have any info or any experiances about or with this company? I have an opportunity to buy one of their bikes new at about 50% off so any info on them would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

Motobecane has its origins as a French bike and moto maker. Been around for decades, my dad remembers seeing these in French imperial Vietnam back in the days.

But the Motobecane of today is different from the old school French company. A U.S. based bike company has bought the rights to use the name Motobecane to sell bikes here in America.

Other than that, I don't really know much about the Motobecane 2.0.

I know that they seem to sell exclusively sell via www.bikesdirect.com

    i have a motobecane 650ds full suspension (1999 - i think) & am happy with it.
1st full suspension bike i rode & i am in intermediate level rider. i ride pretty rough trails in austin average 3 times a week & about 10 miles of trail each ride.
it has been good. i bought it used & real cheap.
found some reviews here - kind of old though - but may help.

i have also found more recent reviews of the current (newer models) online by googling it.

as of what i know the orginal owner has a lifetime warranty on the bike frame.

if u r getting it at 50% the price based on the components - i would go for it. they r priced low anyway. but i think the dealers r located in select cities http://motobecane.com/

I purchased a Motobecane Sprint Tour road bike this past summer and have no complaints. I'm rather satisfied with the purchase. I have 1400 miles on it and it's been bomber up till this point.
