    KHS Fork fitting.....?

I have a brand new KHS xc04...I'm looking into buying a 2004 Manitou BLACK Elite 120mm....The steerer tube is 8 1/8...How do I know what will fit?

You just need to add up all the things which stack together on the steer tube. The upper and lower headset requires about 1", the stem requires about 1.5", you should have an allowance for about 1" of spacers between the stem and headset, and lastly add the head tube length. Headtubes are about 5" for a large/medium sized aluminum frame, adjust around this. This totals about 8.5".

8 1/8" may work depending on your exact stack height, head tube length, and allowance for headset spacers.
