Just ordered a Breezer Squall Expert for my partner.

I finally convinced my partner to get a new bike. She doesn't ride much, but she had a v brake hardtail with non adjustable forks that was too small for her. We ended up getting a Breezer Squall Expert at Performance Bicycle. I'd never heard of Breezer, or Joe Breeze who apparently is a pioneer in the sport? Has anyone else? This is the specs on the bike:

27.5 WTB wheels with Shimano centerlock hubs
    Rockshox 30 Silver TK Fork
Deore front derailleur, Deore XT rear 2x10
    Shimano M395 discs
Weight: ??? (couldn't find a weight, but she decided it was good enough)

Got it out the door for $842, and they were having a sale so it came with a free helmet, lock, and light.

    Thoughts?

I love mine. This is the second Breezer hardtail I've owned. I got the Squall Expert 29er model. The frame design is excellent and the components at this pricepoint are practically unheard of. It actually has a SRAM X5 front derailleur and XT rear. The shifting is precise, smooth and snappy. The WTB wheels and tires are great and honestly the Rockshox 30 TK is the smoothest coil shock I've ever ridden. Turn the tiny rebound dampening switch (underneath the right leg) 2 or 3 clicks and the fork can literally feel like it's air sprung. Anyway I have a much more expensive Giant Trance for my hard technical rides, but the Breezer Squall Expert is my go to for casual trail rides and even hitting paved bikeways. This bike is definitely capable of technical rides on intermediate trails as well. It will hold up to a technical and rocky decent, but being a hardtail with 100mm of travel means your gonna feel it. GREAT BIKE!

Haha no I don't work for Breezer, but I really appreciate the love that goes into these bikes. It's nice to get a high-quality frame and solid components for less than a thousand bucks. Hopefully you'll discover what I mean after experiencing the bike yourself!

Oh yeah and just thought I would mention, the Wellgo pedals that are included are durable, but for real trail riding I'd invest in something with more grip like Raceface Chesters or Shimano Saint pedals. I installed Deity Black Kats on mine and really like 'em. (If she ride clipless then well you know much more than me about that.)

Neither of us ride clipless, but I think the pedals are ok for now.
