independent fabrications mech hangers
Are they replaceable? I'm thinking of getting Ti and from the looks of it a lot of Ti builders (litespeed, Jones etc) have fixed mech hangers.
Should I be worried about getting a Ti frame with a fixed hanger?

It's very rare to find Ti or Steel frames with replaceble hangers. Unlike Aluminum, steel and Ti hangers can be bent back in to place without fear of snapping them off. Infact, if you did manage to snap one off you could weld a new one on. You can't do that with aluminum because it ruins the heat treating. In the 11 years I've had my steel IF I've only had to have it bent back once.
So no, you shouldn't worry about it at all

FWIW, I think Moots uses replaceable hangers on their ti frames.

Of the hundreds if not thousands of steel frame bikes I sold or serviced since 1988 I think I can count on both hands the number that needed major repair to the derailleur hanger. Bent? Yes. Damaged to the point of needing replaced? Not very often.
