I just spoke with Jeremy Sycip

and he told me that they'd gotten my frame back from the painter, and he's shipping it to me today. I should have it on tuesday! Woohoo! I haven't been able to ride the bike since March, and I can not wait to get my baby back on the trails.

I aske Jeremy how the paint looks, and he just said "Wild. It's an amazing paint job." It's gotta be good if it impresses him.

I promise I'll post pix when I get it.

I am interested in having them paint one of my frames (non-sycip). Do you know if they are into that and any idea on the price?

    Yeah, it is about time.

I have to say that Sycip and Russ Pickett (Air Art) actually got things done more quickly than they had promised. Really, the looooong delay was pretty much all me.
Anyhow, I just finished building it up, so I'll take some photos in the daylight tomorrow.

It looks sweet. Maybe not everybody's cup of tea, but that's OK.

    Not a chance.

I'm gonna whimper like a little baby the first good scratch it gets, but I'm not going to ride like a baby to avoid it...
It's probably gonna happen pretty soon, too.

Yes, we will be camped just to the left of the road that starts the course. Spot #104. Are you doing the solo support thing again?
