    Front derailleur question

I just tried to mount my front derailleur/cranks, and my front derailleur seems to have a pivot point that contacts the back of the seat tube. My derailleur is the Shimano FD-M770-E. I noticed that the complete XCLs use a different derailleur, the FD-M760A-E.

Is anyone using the 770-E currently? I'm thinking about just grinding a bit off that pivot (it only just barely contacts the frame)...

    Answering my own question

I just ground off a bit of the pivot head, and now I have a bit of space between it and the frame. Hopefully I didn't compromise my derailleur, but after all... it's just the front anyway. Enjoy some pics.

On my XCL the pivot sits right against the frame also. Works fine though and will leave it as is.

Yeah I figured it was probably fine. I'm just anal about that stuff.
