    Fezzari/CostCo and KHS ?

    Ok, so CostCo have started selling a bunch of bikes by some new company named Fezzari, but looking at the frame it looks almost identical to the KHS 204/604 frame I'm running right now.

    Tell me that's not the same frame, it sure as hell looks like it (I'd find a big picture of the 604 to compare it to, but KHS have rebuilt their website recently and half of it's missing).

    I would be surprise if it's the same frame. Mercer, an eBay only brand it seems, sells a track/fixed gear bike that is the same frame as a KHS track bike.

    I was reading an British mtb magazine and once saw and add for a Coyote single pivot XC frame that was identical to the KHS 504/304 series.

    Ok well I mailed KHS about this and here's the reply I got;

    Thank you for your email. Sorry for taking so long to reply. Our agreements
    with certain factories allow them to produce our designs for other companies
    after making them exclusively for us for a year or two. They are not allowed
    to use our specific geometry for fit or suspension function, so that our
    bikes retain obviously better fit and function.

    Best regards,

    So read that how you like, the Abajo Peak has exactly the same rear suspension right down to the shock, although it only appears to be available in small and medium (5'2"-5'7" and 5'7"+) so I guess there are some limits.

    Thanks for posting that letter from KHS.

    Interesting comment about keeping the best fit for them. It's true for that track bike I was talking about. The Mercier clone track bike only comes in three sizes where as the official KHS version comes in more sizes.

    Check the hotdeals forum for a few weeks ago, thread on the khs 204s from jensonusa and the raleigh adrenalines from canadian tire stores. Its the same freaking frames, just different paint. KHS doesn't build **** themselves, and barely designs **** themselves either. They just slap their name on stuff made and designed by others, for them.
    I don't post to generate business for myself or make like I'm better than sliced bread
