    custom 29'r

    hello all
going to get a custom T 29'r geared.
need some help here - what / if is the edvantege / porpous of a sliding dropout ?
and if someone want to share his dream build for a bike like that, you know full parts selection as light trail ride.
    thank you.

I went with a Paragon sliding dropout on my Pereira 29er SS. The purpose of the sliding dropout is to provide the correct chain tension for the singlespeed. Paragon also makes a model with a rear der hanger, so you can run gears if you get the braze ons. I think they are like another $10 or so. I feel the advantage over an eccentric bottom bracket is that there is really nothing but a few bolts to deal with and noe of the slippage or creaking of the EBB. I know some feel very stringly about EBB's, but my Paragons have been absolutely trouble free and easily adjustable from the get go.
