Can someone explain why this DH bike is not invoking more discussion... Is the performance not in tune with how it looks? Serious question....

i currently ride/race an f5 and it is amazing, what it needs is more press/review from a serious bike magazine, they did it with the f4 with farkin and the reviews where very good...it would help to see chumba pushing it more like they do with the evo and xcl, just take a look at their website, the f5 is shown with an old vanilla rc rear shock, now that is what i'm talking about a 2000$ frame with a 5 year old shock!

Yep, I've been toying with the idea of a DH bike. This and the Sinister R9 look like the baddest shiz out there to me right now. I think the F5 looks hot hot hot!

    Whafe

Smokin hot...I hear you loud and clear.

I've been thinkin' of sellin' the XCL and "upgrading" to the F5. Would be a great Whizzler bike.

    Hi Whafe,

We definitely have plans to roll out the F5 in a big way in the near future. You guys are right, it certainly hasn't received the attention and focus of the company, as it deserves. But, plans are already in the works to get this bike up and competing again very soon.

The orange is sick, but I still like this one the most.

That's Imx's rig, btw. The blue is so tight!

hardway.... Indeed Imx's is real nice, that blue is the shizzle, goes real well with the Boxxer WC.....

Like it when something comes from left field so to speak... So need to hear more how it rides, handles etc etc etc....

Come on Chumba, out with it.............................

This is cool to hear from CHUMBAevo "We definitely have plans to roll out the F5 in a big way in the near future. well all i can say is that i rode the hell out of it this year and it has been a flawless experience.

good points:light, low bb,low centre of gravity (low suspension pivot point),steep head angle (for racing), plush and progressive suspension feel, bottomless travel, floating caliper on rough braking ground, hand made (i have a u.s. model...)

low points:no iscg tabs (non sense),not the best pedaling bike unless you use 5-7 clicks of propedal, rear floating brake caliper position at risk (you know rocks!).newer production made in taiwan.(i think)

just noticed there are no housing guides on the frame above. is that why there are so many holes in my frame?
