    Chumba Evo FR

    hey!

im a bit confused on the EVO...its an AM frame but you can use it for freeride?

I heard that Chumba makes a Freeride oriented frame...whats the difference between the regular EVO and the FR type EVO??

Ok this is a great question.

The AM EVO can do both well. I have been riding the Am for all of my riding my Mild DH and my XC/All mountain. With my AM EVO I keep my seat 3/4 to the rear to make the tt seem longer. This makes the bike turn amazing. It is also very stable bike like a bigger DH bike.. I have set up both the AM and the FR at 31 lbs with FR gear . The fork was a Lyric 2 step. Thats a great fork and its light. Now we have the lyric u turn not as light but way more adjustable.

The FR EVO has slacker seat tube and is great for FR and DH. To climb with it you need to have the seat forward on the rails.

    thanks for the response!

so, basically the reg EVO and your FR EVO has the same geo setup??

just depending on what gear you set it up with??

I was planning on putting an 05 888 and saint on if I decided to get the frame good idea?
