New question here. chainstay disc brake mount + track fork ends/dropouts?

I've been bitten by the SS bug (converted my hardtail to rigid SS) and am now contemplating contacting a local frame builder to have him build a SS-specific bike for me. But before I go to him, I wanted to iron out some specifics regarding the frame.

I like how some frames have the disc brake mount on the chainstay (see pic); makes for a clean look. My question is, would this configuration be compatible with track style ("horizontal") dropouts? Because all the bikes I've seen having this type of disc mount have EBBs. [I actually prefer EBBs over track fork ends, but anticipate this would prove more costly].

Would slotted disc mounts work for this as well? (as with Surly's solution to the problem; see small pic). Could someone provide a photo of this, if it has been done?

    'appreciate any inputs...

Better to have and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
