    build for 80 or 100mm?

    For folks who've had custom hardtails made recently, did you have it built around a 80 or 100mm fork, and why?

    100mm

    I find 80mm of travel to be insufficient for anything other than racing on smooth courses.
    100mm is minimum for me. Otherwise I'd rather just save the weight & complexity and go fully rigid.

    I'm having an IF built for 100mm. My current ride is a Turner with a 100mm fork and the travel is perfect.
