Anyone heard of (or have) a Wanta frame?
(x-post from 29er board)
I've been looking at a custom steel 29er for some time now, and am leaning heavily towards a Curtlo, but I came across Al Wanta's frames the other day and thought it might be worth a look.
http://www.wantaframes.com/
He's based in Santa Barbara, CA (so I could visit the shop for a fitting), and from the small amount of info I've dug up on the web, his stuff is INEXPENSIVE.
So... anybody have any info on this guy and his work? Thanks in advance.

I had a cross bike built by him. His prices were the best. But he is more of a road guy, he'll build you what you want, but you have to know what you want in terms of geometry and dimensions.
I'd probably go with someone with more experience in the 29er market like Walt, Curtlo, etc. But if you wanted a road frame, Wanta is a great value.
