    650b Xcl?

So I'm thinking about the 650B wheelset while wasting time...err researching here at work.

Think there is clearance on the XCL frame for a set of 650B's in the rear? I'm thinking that the front d would be in the way so I'd run it 1x9. Kind of like a 650B Fox F120 littler big wheel bike.

Think it would work or is it just a failure waiting to happen?

I think there's enough clearance in the rear. I almost got a 29er (with a 1.8 Bontrager) to fit in there. I needed about another 2mm or so.

Not sure about FD to tire clearance though.

    Hmmmmm.....

I don't really need a front D I'll run it 1x9 with a SS crankset so it'll at most use a ngear jumpstop. I think it could be a fun build.

I thought it fit... but just barely. Made me want to steal your F29 and give it a try.

It didn't slide into the dropouts all the way. Of course, we should have thought of taking some air out first...

Oooooh. I didn't notice that. F29 in the front with a 650 in the back then.

Hmm it sounds like the 650B's would not be a problem then. Could be a fun little conversion!
