New question here. RI/Souther MA Trail Suggestions

Howdy. I am on vacation next week in Little Compton and am looking for a good spot to ride within reasonable distance (<1 hours). Looking for somewhere I can do 3.5 hours without too much repetition. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Big River - Coventry, RI - huge place, tons of trails - mix of tech, flow, etc Great singletrack. Carr's pond to cool off in! This is our favorite place to ride.

Arcadia Management Area - Exeter, RI - huge place, tons of trails - mix of tech, flow, etc great singletrack.

Check out the Northeast Nemba page.

Thanks Rick. So Big River and Otis (on the cape) are both about an hour from me. Arcadia 1:15. Considering I'll be first-timing wherever I go, which would you pick keeping in mind easy to follow factor and all that (don't want to play "which way do I go" at every intersection.

    1: Well marked
    2: Climbing
3: some doubletrack (yeah I know but I'm training for NH100 and need long smooth pedal intervals)

    Thanks for the intel.

Tough to say as I have never ridden out at Otis.

As for Big River.........it is not really well marked at all and there are a lot of trails. There are some good climbs in there......There are a lot of fire roads going through it.

Arcadia may be better marked. Although it has been a long time since I have ridden there.

Hopefully somebody else can chime in with better info.

Have you looked at Wetamewoo woods in little Compton? Not familiar with it but there are a few posts in this section on it. Arcadia would be my pick - Big river is fairly flat and you have to contend with the moto's. Arcadia is pretty good sized - you can't get lost, you're in Rhode Island!!!!
