Trek XCaliber 7 (2020) internally routed dropper post

Wondering if anyone has installed a dropper post for a Trek Excalibur, and if so, any tips? I purchased the PNW Rainer dropper, and wanted to give it a go.

Iíve run a thinner cable down the entry point on the front of the frame, but instead of the cable riding over the BB, itís going down and is exiting before/at the BB exit point, with the rear derailleur and brake housings.

Can anyone confirm if going over the bracket is indeed a valid through-point? Iíve been at this for a while now and want to make sure iím not losing it. Trek says yes, my patience says no.

    Thanks in advance!
