Suggestion for dropper seatpost w/ remote for Felt Decree 30

I just bought a 2016 Felt Decree 30 today. I want to replace the OEM dropper with seat lever that is on it with a new dropper that has a remote. Having owned 2 PNW Cascade droppers in the past, I am very partial to them. I need 170 mm of travel, and have a 30.9 mm seatpost tube. I notice what looks like a cable entry point on the outside of the seatpost, so I am thinking that I could use a dropper with an internal cable. I have never installed one of those, so I am unsure what is involved, and what would work on my bike.

This is the first one that comes to mind:

Can anyone confirm that it would work on my bike, routing the cable internally? I am just concerned about details that aren't apparent to me. Plus, I am on a fairly tight budget, and want the best bang-for-the-buck dropper.

Your frame has internal routing on the seatTUBE (not seatpost).

I like the OneUp droppers for bang for the buck. Adjustable travel. Lowest Stack height of any dropper on the market. User serviceable with replaceable cartridges. Proven to be quite durable. https://www.oneupcomponents.com/prod...ropper-post-v2

Stop asking how much it weighs and just go ride it.

I think oneup uses the pwn/giant/brandx carts?

I'll only buy cartridge droppers from now on. Pnw droppers are a great choice. I have brandx on 2 bikes and they're rock solid too, but sort of the same thing.

That looks nice, but it's outside of my budget. Would the PNW linked in my OP work on my bike? $179 for that one is even pushing my budget.

No, it's their own design and parts.

The SDG Tellis (which is also good) does use some of the open market parts.

Yes, but $179 is just the post with no remote (correct?). When you add the Loam Lever it's similar in price to the OneUp.

I didn't notice earlier that the remote wasn't included. $213 vs $258. I'm counting pennies, so as long as the PNW one would fit, I would get it, especially since I have owned 2 of them previously, and really liked them.

    Thanks for the advice.

Again, $213 is NOT the Loam lever price, but you're right there is a small price difference, along with some other tradeoffs.

Seems like you should pay a little closer attention to the product description of things you're considering buying, especially if you're on a tight budget (that apparently is pretty flexible).

Read some reviews, do some research, there's a lot of info out there if you look.

I've now been to the PNW website twice because of this conversation and apparently I know more about it than you.

It would be good to make sure the length of the new post is good. That is, the saddle be at the optimum height when fully extended. A post that's too long between the saddle rails and bottom of the stanchion collar, or too long overall, can prevent that.
    What, me worry?
