    SRAM Apex 1 cassette options

I have a Salsa Cutthroat pre 2020 with Apex 1 and a stock 11-42 cassette. SRAM says Apex 1 max is a 42, yet in know e13 has a 9x46 that works and Sunrace has an 11x46. The e13 is expensive and troublesome apparently, I was wondering if you know of other options that are reliable for a wider range than 11x42, for me 10x50 would be ideal but I donít want to change the whole drivetrain, it has to work with Apex 1.

I have seen some using the sunrace 11-46. Probably the most reasonable option. I donít have first hand experience with it though. I have apex1 as well and have been wondering the same.

Yes, they also have an 11-50 and a 10-46. I emailed them to ask for compatibility.

There is also Garbaruck, they have 11-50 and 10-50. But I think going 50 will require changing the cage and pulley of the detailleur as well which is another $120 while their cassette is $250 but 200 grams lighter than Sunrace, which is a lot. Also they are in EU so service in the US is not going to be good.
