Question on OneUp EDC stem installation

    Howdy o/
So i installed my stem yesterday (on my nomad v4).
Thing is after install turning the handlebar seems a little bit stiff.
I don't know if it is because of the stem (steerer bolts to 9nm and preload to 3nm according to spec) and/or the headset needing more grease.
Loosening the preload a bit gives more leeway but it feels still stiff to me and i assume the preload should never been loosened anyway
    Thoughts on this ?

Adding the metal spacers above the split retaining ring and put more grease seems to do the trick
