    9point8 Slack-R

Looks like that finally there is a way to change the HTA for integrated headset.
Did someone already tried this? if so, please share your thoughts.

Also, will this going to work with Bronson v3?

I just ordered one to put on my 2020 custom timber jack. Hoping to ride it in the next week or so. I had some reservations about it creaking over time but the way itís designed to fill the entire HT and how the parts screw into each other is reassuring. But if it works it will be an ideal upgrade for the timber jack, since the stock frame HT angle is 67.5.

Assemble it with carbon assembly paste and loctite, basically following instructions, and it's unlikely to creak. I installed one a couple of evenings ago and it seems rock solid in my 90mm headtube.

Looks like a nice piece. You'd have to make sure that you have enough steerer to use it. None of my forks have enough steerer to use it.

    FYI,

Check the inside of your headtube before you buy one of these. I tried to install it in a Stache carbon hardtail, 15.5", and the middle piece wouldn't clear the inside of the headtube because Trek put a kind of chin on the front of the headtube that barely clears the steerer tube, but not the slackr.

Yep, I learned of this after watching this installation on YouTube: https://youtu.be/PRYIzYa7mxg
This appears to be an issue on many bikes and 9point8 now has a disclaimer about it on their site.

I'm not comfortable sanding away carbon from my frame so unfortunately this will be a no-go for me.
