    Whew, a rainy one today

Too bad my canoe has already been moved to my new home city because I could have used it to commute today. So far over 8" of rain on the day and it's still coming down. I would not be surprised if we get 10" total by morning.

Why does it rain on the weekend and not during the week?

The storm dropped 12" total according to my rain gauge, which measures conservatively. It finally stopped. At this point, I'm glad that storm rolled through on the weekend. I am bike commuting 99% of the time and I'm glad I didn't have to commute in that

Got in a lap at city park. Since I can drive to work any time I want, I'd rather have the rain screw up my commute because people would get all pissy if I took my car on the trails.

This is a creek I cross on my commute that is usually barely ankle deep. Here it is prob 15-20ft deep.

I will try to get a pic from this spot on my way home this evening. It's still running high, but within its banks. you'll get a good feeling for how high this really is.

You have no excuse for driving to work
(unless you don't have studded tires)
    (no excuse for that either)
