    What's in your commuting bag?

Did a search didn't find anything on this topic? What do you carry in your bag or panniers when commuting?

For me it depends: If I'm going out to do some school work(homeschooled):
    Laptop+Charger
    Cable lock or 2
    Text Books
    Notepad
    Planner
    Water
Change of clothes(Depends on where I'm going)

Thats about it until next year when I start heading out more for grade nine because I'm doing paper modules instead of online.
At the end of the day, my bike is a bike, whether its made for XC singletrack or DH, I can make it do what I want.

    For work -

Rack Top bag: Keys, wallet, phone, multi tool, tube, pump, work pants, uniform, pager, HT radio, flashlight, knife, scissors, belt. laptop charger, AA charger for my light. spare batteries.

Backback: work boots, laptop, work jacket, and text books. * Depending where I get hired after graduation I'll need to start carrying a lock, tactical vest, and lunch as well.

I'm looking at getting some panniers or folding baskets.

hex set, tubes, pump, clothes, $1 poncho, wallet, and money. I try to be as minimalistic as i can so the pack doesnt become a larger burden on after work rides on the way home.

accually it's not one that you have to carry! I refuse to put the Hawaii County bike lic sticker on my trail bike! (Cannondale Prophet) and I use my backpack for trail rides also and I keep the sticker and lic itself in there just in case..... the Po-po can confiscate your bike if you "break the law" and your stopped if there isint the lic on your bike! (to show proof of ownership)

So in other words, its not a license that allows you to ride, its just like registration?

For work: Undies, socks, black t-shirt, Glock 22

Nice to have the extra room in the Orlieb FrontRollers just in case I need to pick something up. Usually just carry one, not both.

Its good to have a list and check it before leaving. That way you can avoid leaving behind something important.... like your pants!
