Interesting stuff. This is a highly reflective paint designed for use by cyclists who ride on the road in the dark. I've got a tin sitting in front of me here, just arrived today. Anyone else used this stuff?

I'm all for safety, but what kind of screwed up world do we live in that I need to glow in the dark to ride at night?

It only glows in the dark if their headlights are working.

Around here, I don't like those odds.

Yes, my car headlights often burn out too. Yes, I drive a Volvo.

My bike, my riding gear and clothing are simply too nice and far too expensive to be dumping paint on them so that I am reflective at night. They sell reflective clothing and if you really want to go all out, you could wrap your bike in reflective tape.

I'd forgotten that I'd found this, but I love how appropriate it is:

Yep. We don't even have to drive our (blue) Volvo to have accidents.

6 month after purchase it was hit hard enough while parked in the driveway to require re-alignment and much bodywork. And it took another fender-crumpling hit-and-run while parked at Costco last year.

I didn't even bother to claim insurance on the last hit, I sort of bent it back a bit and figured it mostly looks okay, for a 12-yr-old car.

To our credit, I don't think it's ever had an accident with the engine running.
