    Tire recommendation

So I am thinking of building up my sweet "huffy dash" for winter riding, and maybe mild offroad. It has 26 x 1-3/8 on it. It only looks like enough clearance for 26 x 1.5"
I am looking for recommendations on a "grippy" 1.5 tire that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

    Thanks

careful with those fractional tire widths.

    26 Inch Bicycle Tires

decimal width tires won't fit. The rims are actually different sizes.

Good save, Nate! I had an alarm bell going off when I read "26 x 1-3/8".

Not a whole lot of options for you, D.M. I hope you find some sweet surprise.

In the 26 X 1 3/8 tire size I would recommend the Kenda K830. It has some nice tread, low rolling resistance and comes in a gumwall. It's a nice looking tire and are also inexpensive. Since you are looking to ride this bike in the winter, I would not use this tire on snow, it's a road tire. But it can handle paved gravel bike paths.
