Surly Big Dummy Impressions - Cool commuter

    Hey Everyone,

Being a commuter for errands and tasks, I recently had the chance to ride a Surly transport bike. I was sort of impressed with how efficient and easy it was having a bit of a longer wheel base which allowed me to carry stuff easily and not just cram everything in a backpack. Anyway, I wrote up a little impression and story about it.

You can see at www.freewheelcoffee.com on the home page.

    Cheers!
    Kris

I’ve been enjoying my new Surly Big Dummy for about three weeks now. After you get used to the longer wheelbase (and higher center of gravity when hauling stuff—in my case, children) it really grows on you. When you ride anything different than a Big Dummy, it feels like you’ve jumped on a race bike, or even a trials bike.

Oh, and you can trackstand on a Big Dummy, just have to get your balance routine in check.
Don’t frail and blow if you’re going to Braille and Flow.

Haha. Will keep that in mind. Can't wait to get one of these for the business. I can see so much potential with finding excuses to run errands with it.
