    stem options

Just finished my Kona Rove build. I am super excited. It will be my all around, do anything bike. Some racks and bags on the way. I really want to be more upright so am looking for suggestions on stems. The steerer tube is as long as it's going to get. I have looked at the LD stem by Crust bikes and that may be the way to go, but any other options? I would like to get the bars up to be pretty even with my seat height.

I use an FSA Metropolis Stem to get the bars higher on my Wolverine.

That's a pretty big gap to make up. Lemme guess, tall guy with a crazy long inseam? I know a lot of guys like that, and there are not a whole lot of options.

yup, long legs, maybe should have a size larger frame, but this is the one. Yes, big gap, so anything I can do to get closer.

    thanks all

Is that how you ride your saddle? Have you tried to level it out more?
The pedals turn, not just the left one, but the right one too.

I like the seat like that, lets me slide off the back and ghost ride my bike down the street. Kidding, that was fresh off the stand after a couple months of collecting parts and assembly, it is level now.

Slip, I actually just picked up a used one of those extensions yesterday after work, the little hole in the wall shop I like to go to had one thrown in in a bin of stems. It will work, but looks awful. It will be great to play with though to see where I really want my bars.

Find a very short (30-40mm) stem, with a 45 angle. You won't get the bars as high as your seat, but if they're closer, then you won't need to bend over as much.

You might also want to consider an adjustable stem, plenty of options out there for that:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/ref=i...djustable+stem

I have one myself to (partly) compensate the extra reach and drop when I converted from flat bar to drop bar, and also for finetuning when I was trying different dropbars.

This is pretty much the tallest stem that's easily available: Humpert High Charisma High Rise Handlebar Stem 1 1 8 25 4mm or 31 8mm Oversize | eBay

Thanks all for thoughts and suggestions. I ordered this https://www.crustbikes.com/products/...stem-pre-order

and will deal until it comes. I played with the extension I picked up and 5 inches should get me to just about where I want to be and achieves a cleaner look that I am going for.
First longer ride on the bike planned for this weekend, psyched to shake it out and see how it goes.
