Some input on a 2005 Trek 7300 Fx

Looking for an older bike to be a commuter/ grocery getter and found a Trek 7300 Fx for $125. Does anyone have any experience with this model? Seems to me that its not too bad of a price. I don't necessarily want something super fancy since I would be running to the store with it and so on. Just want something that will be able to hang a rack on the back.

I use a mountain bike with just a rear rack for hauling, which I am looking to ditch for a used touring bike with rear rack and fork braze-ons to no avail. Just a rear rack is not enough if you want to be car free, you are limited with how much you can hold. It makes things more difficult. Also hybrids fill an unnecessary niche, but $125 is damn cheap.

Check out the axiom site as they have front racks for different applications. I bet other manufacturers do as well. I even have a front rack on a suspension fork with disc on a commuter of mine.

Someone got to the bike before I did so that one is off the table. Ended up getting a Trek 7500 today for $100 and I think it will serve the purpose I need it to. I know one thing, I have gotten way too used to riding the my other bikes with the wider tires. The 700c x 35 take a little to get used to.

Next step is to look for the rear rack to start with. Will definitely check out the Axiom site.

Congrats on the purchase!! 700x35 is narrow? I am rolling 700x23.
The pedals turn, not just the left one, but the right one too.
