Any one out there running road tubless with success? I find that over 40-50 psi the sealant won't build up fast enough to stop a leak. Any thoughts? Oh I am using stans if that helps.

I ride tubeless on the road - 700-35c Schwalbe G-Ones. I do use Orange Seal sealant, and run them around 40-50 PSI. They've definitely plugged some small punctures (rode through a pile of goat heads and probably picked up half a dozen). In those cases the drop in pressure wasn't significant enough for me to have to stop and pump back up.
Thanks for the updates guys. I a now trying a new sealant from slime. So far so good. Time will tell. I did set up a reminder in my phone to add sealant in about 5 months.

My experience agrees that tubeless works best at lowish pressure but that's based on experimenting with different pressures on the MTB rather than trying a dedicated road tubeless setup. I do ride the road tubeless and find that tire plugs work well for larger punctures or if I've let the sealant dry up too much.
A few years back when road tires were still 23C @90PSI, I thought it was pointless.
Now that my "road" tires are 30C at 50PSI on a rim that makes them even wider.... no tubes for me.
It doesn't hurt that my road tubeless were so easy to get on and off the rims, I actually got scared and double-checked I had really bought tubeless tires.
