New question here. Racktime Topit users?

Looking at getting one of these for the front of my commuter for some additional box carrying when needed.

Just seeing who the other users are of this rack and their impressions of it. I am riding a Surly Ogre that does have an enabler fork up front so the 135 spacing might be an issue for this front rack.

I just got one of those on my new bike, only had it a week or so of use. Works good for me I mostly just use it to bunjee my lunch box to it. Is there something specific you need to know, measurements, etc?

I was curious on how high it sits up on most peoples bikes?

From these pics it looks like it would sit rather high up on my bike, the Ogre fork he is using it not much different than the enabler fork I am using.

I had one for a while, and it was quite tall, resulting in a lot of wheel-flop.

If you have your way on this again would you say a Salsa Minimalist Rack would be a better option, assuming you have used one. Without the defective part of course.

Never used the minimalist rack. Blackburn's Outpost rack would be worth considering, as would Surly's Nice Rack.

I just measured mine it's 10.5" from the lower mounting screw to the top horizontal tube of the rack (measuring from the center of each) you can judge how high it's going to be on your fork that way.

Just measured this and it seems that the rack would sit actually low vs. high up. The enabler forks midblades sit much lower than on a ogre/troll.

I did get the rack and did install it.

Some things to keep in mind for those interested in this rack and especially if you have a wider front wheel (135mm spacing). The rack can be spread to fit on the outside lowrider mounts. However it has to be REALLY spread to fit those mounts. I was able to mount it to the inside lowrider mounts without much trouble or stretching needed on the rack. Other thing is the fork crown mount and the enabler fork are just a big off, the lowrider mounts are much lower on a this salsa fork then say a surly ogre/troll fork.

I will post pics of the setup so some of you can see if interested in this rack. I do like it overall and will continue to have it on as a daily driver and keep my minimalist rack for touring needs.

Ok so it's installed and works pretty darn well, I had to install on the inside low rider mounts due to having a 135mm spaced fork and it just spread the rack too far for my comfort.
