    New bike day? No way
    OK, not new bike day. Used bike day!!!

    Met up with a guy that I have ridden mountain bikes with, and he sold me one of his no longer used bikes.

    Framed Minnesota 2.0 fattie. White/orange combo as you can see in the picture. He put a Thomson setback on there, and I already swapped the bars out for the old bar from my Stumpjumper FSR for a bit more rise and it is a bit shorter. Threw my barely used OURY lock on grips as well. I also got an X9 grip shift set, an X9 RD, and a set of Surly Nate's and a set of Vee Snowshoes along with the Vee Missions already on there. The X9? Yeah, I sold it or traded it to another guy, who in turn traded/sold it to this guy, and now I have it back again. I know it is mine because of the hacked up OURY lock on grips with red clamps that I had previously. Not sure if I will move to that as the bike is a 2x9 with X5. I might just leave it as is and roll it like that.

    I took it out as soon as I got it home. I couldn't erase the smile off of my face. Felt like a little kid all over again. These things are damn addictive I will say that. Did not want to stop riding over things, and even hit the small amount of "single track" right outside of my complex. It feels like a freight train, partly because it just rolls over everything, and partly because it feels like it weighs a ton compared to my track bike. ( 18 lbs vs 35 lbs)

    It looks like my winter commute will be set once I get some warmer clothes. Don't really want winter to rear its ugly head again, but in a twisted kind of way, I kind of do.

    Now that's a purdy bike. Somehow that orange doesn't even look tacky. Gawsh, those there bikes look like fun.

    That bike looks like a whole world of fun in snow or mud. I just hope you can enjoy it and the rest of us don't need it this winter.

    I am in Michigan. I am afraid of this coming winter. If it is anything like this past one, I am in for a lot of fat bike miles commuting.

    Nice! I have started acquiring fatbike parts for the winter as well. I just need a pugsley frame now to put them onto. Enjoy :)

    I think that the only difference aside from the slim fattie wheelset is that the 1.0 is a 1x9 while the 2.0 is a 2x9.

    Found it even cheaper here!!

    Nice! Enjoy the fatty! I picked one up this past spring in the silver/red color combo. It's a blast. Planning on commuting on it this winter as well, but until then it has become my go to bike for just riding around the backyard, neighborhood, city, park, etc. It really does ride over anything. I once drunkenly rode it over a large stump...that was in a bonfire. Those V Missions are pretty much garbage though. I swapped them out for a set of On One Floaters.

    I believe the geometry is different as well between the 1 and the 2. The 1.0 is more of a Pugs-ish geometry for touring and adventure riding. The 2.0 is more of a "trail" geometry.

    The 2.0 is a pretty upright ride, at least how I have mine. I like that as it will make commuting pretty fun I think. Going to take it on my Friday night group ride to see how it behaves. Already figured out that the tires on it are pretty much garbage, and will not be seeing much more use than the road and maybe some dirt paths.
