    More Cyclists Means Fewer Accidents

This type of "finding" has cropped up before (no slam to you, OP), and I'm amazed that so many cities have to learn this the hard way. Do they REALLY think their communities are so unique that the trends of human nature won't apply?

It also bothers me that the article said (something to the effect of) "when drivers EXPECT (caps mine) to find cyclists/pedestrians, the number of accidents goes down." Why is that? Why do they have to be EXPECTED to be there? If all people had to worry about was what's EXPECTED, there's be no insurance industry!

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but hey -- DRIVERS -- you are NOT alone out there, OTHER PEOPLE will cross your path! Walking, pedaling, driving, flying low, you name it -- they're ALL going somewhere, and that somewhere is equally important as yours!

Better idea...park the F***ING car and get on a bike, you lazy asses.

    Rant over.
