    Longest regular commute distance?

Just started commuting again this year, as traffic on the freeways is only getting worse. I haven't commuted on a bicycle for 10 years, but still ride on the weekends but my fitness is poor.

My commute each way is 36km for a daily total of 72km or 45ish? miles you you backwards yanks. I am only riding three days per week and tolerating the distances really nicely.

Time wise it's about 90 minutes which (each way) at a comfortable pace with is the same time by car in peak hour, obviously minus petrol, toll fees and car wear and tear, and losing a .5 kg each week so far and the quite enjoying not being stuck in traffic.

Anyone doing a stupidly long commute regularly?

I average 3 times a week in the nicer months, occasionally riding all 5 days if other commitments allow.
Each way is 63 minutes +/- 5 minutes

By the end of fall its tediously boring

My commute is about 20 miles each way = 40 miles round trip. I do that about twice a week. Nice thing is I can ride around the hills or hit the hills if I want the challenge.

In summer about the length of 710 2ply toilet paper rolls, in spring/autumn 530, and in winter 350. Each is one way.
