    Is it legal to ride a green machine on the bike lane?

    A Huffy Green Machine? It's not actually a bicycle.

    I would say that doing so would be extremely dangerous, the vehicle and rider sit way too low and would be difficult for drivers to see. Legal? I don't know, it probably would not qualify as a vehicle that should be on the street.

    Wait, are you serious?!

    3 wheels? Tricycles are ok in bike lanes if you got the Cajones.

    Maybe that is a question you should pose to local law enforcement.

    I dont see how its a tricycle cuz it has pnuematic tires. You dont call a 3 wheel motorcycle a motortricle.

    uni =1
    bi = 2
    tri = 3

    I do call a three wheeled motorized vehicle a "trike", doesn't matter if the tires are filled with air or solid, that has nothing to do with it. In Europe, they call some 4 wheeled motored vehicles "quad bikes" which is extremely stupid. As would be riding a green machine in the bike lane. Pretty sure if a cop saw you they'd tell you to get out of the road before you get killed. And no, the stupid flag isn't going to make it safe.

    Wow, I just googled it and that thing is a monstrosity!
    I canít see how it would be illegal in the bike lanes, itís human powered and bikeish enough. However, it would be wildly dangerous for you and also pretty damn inconsiderate to ride anywhere busy as the extra width would block cyclist from passing.
    10/10 do not recommend riding that anywhere near cars or other cyclists.

    You'll be fine as long as you have a tall enough flag pole.

    Its basically a toy version of a tadpole trike.

    FIFY. IMO, toys have no business being in traffic on busy roads, legal or not. They're basically for neighborhood streets, empty parking lots, etc. Big wheels (even this one with pneumatic tires) sit so low to the ground that you need to be serious about flags for visibility. Cars already have problems "seeing" upright bicycles. Look at what folks who seriously ride recumbents do for visibility. And many of them stay on greenway paths because of their concerns with visibility, even though they're able to go lots faster than your big wheel to keep up with traffic better. Greenways would be better for the big wheel.

    Bike lanes are for transportation. Unfortunately, too many places have bike lanes but no sidewalks, so you'll often find pedestrians in them. Can't fault pedestrians for using them when their alternatives are the ditch or out playing with the cars.

    There are alot of moto's in my bike lanes. Personally I don't care except they go so slow and I end up catching up.

    Obviously the green machine is the baddest big wheel that ever was. And if you have the nutz to ride it in the bike lane go for it.

    Here in NYC, we get electric bikes, motorized scooters, electric skateboards, wheelchairs, pedestrians and food delivery bikes going in the wrong direction in the bike lanes. A Green Machine would at least be cool and amusing.
