This picture was taken by a complete stranger and put on facebook, complaining about the crazy guy on the bike who had to get out of the way of the snow plow. A friend of mine came across the pic through a friend of a friend on facebook, and shared it with me.

What's worse? taking pictures with your phone while driving in the snow, or crossing the road and stopping on your bike when you hear the snow plow coming up behind you?

You have no excuse for driving to work
(unless you don't have studded tires)
    (no excuse for that either)

    Nice stuff here.

I think the worst I've done was a couple years ago- 34 below wind chill, with crappy new snow all over everywhere. No sidewalks were plowed, so I had to go semi-illegally on the road (Metro Detroit). I think I was on my 700C commuter at that time- no fatbike yet.

I'll tell ya what, though. The fatbike makes it a breeze every day. I even take unplowed cut-throughs now, since we haven't had much snow. Last winter after a pretty heavy snow for this area, I got to work faster than the guys who drive Jeeps year round.

Not comparable but when the sun shines and snow is fallen it makes for pretty riding:

Saw this yesterday. It still strikes me as moronic. The posting driver expected you to hold up the snow plow? Not to opt for the freshly plowed road behind one? What's to complain about? Sheesh! You are being safe and courteous. If that's the worst thing that happens to him all day, he is surely blessed! Further as pointed out, he has to drive distracted to get the picture! Yep, an idiot or a sociopath or both.
