    Got out the old bike

Back in the early 90's I rode a Norco Bush Pilot rigid 21 speed with Bio Pace.

Anyway I dug it out, cleaned it up put on my cleats and went for a 40 k burn...

First impression my FS bike is stiff enough that the very little is lost in frame and suspension stiffness.

Second the rigid forks vs the terralogic don't make that much difference either way.

Unless you jump off something then the hit is harder on the rigid.

Third impression the bike is fast.

Fourth impression Bio Pace really does extend the range of each gear both to a lower cadence, and a higher cadence.

Fifth going up a hill you really do notice the extra weight...33lbs with out tools, bottles and lights vs 29 lbs for the fully rigged FS...

Canti's do not stop as fast as disks.

I should add the comparison is to FS with skinny slicks to a Rigid with 2.3/2.1 inch tires...

I think you notice the extra drag from the fat tires more than the weight difference. (Or maybe that the wheels are much heavier out at the rim, with fat tires.)

Do you have the old Terralogic or the new Terralogic on your FS?

I have a 2007 Fox Talas Terralogic....just serviced by push a couple of months ago.

I had the tires pumped up pretty hard 60 psi rear and 45 psi front on the rigid.
