bummer, I'll be finished the semester at work today so yesterday was my last real "commute" as in riding to work. But on Sunday I will be tackling my longest commute/ride ever to get to a summer camp ~55 miles away where I will be working for a few weeks. Still haven't decided if I want to haul my DSL along for the ride or not.

^^Very cool that you will be riding there. If you can bring a camera and they have computers at camp these days, post it up anyways, it will likely be the longest commute on here.

Really? A West Coastie is first?

Nice ride this morning. Sunrise and ground fog, 55 degrees and clear skies. Taken @ 5:00am on the Sammamish River Trail outside of Redmond, WA.

Wow, my brain is awash with possible replies. But before I proceed, I need to inquire, just how close were you and the chicken?

Why was the chicken crossing the road?

That's easy. To get 3/4 of the way to the other side.

Visited the three closest covered bridges:

    Westport Bridge, Westport, Indiana

Moscow Bridge, Moscow, Rush County Indiana

Enochsburg Covered Bridge, Enochsburg, Ripley County,Indiana

I cheated as the round trip would have been a century ride. So I drove he bike near and rode both ways on all three.

A short sideways composite of three covered bridges:

    Bridges - YouTube

Well the middle is the long middle bridge. Not sure what ate the others but nice psychedelic effects!

Nice to see blackberries: ours aborted.

Hmm.... with no warning this picture is the best I can do, from earlier in the summer. I rode right by this spot on the 11th though.

Here's my commute bike. It's a '95 Hardrock Ultra with armadillo tires, topeak bike rack, and SKS fenders.

12 miles round trip of urban riding
