"Cyclists most at fault" may be statistically true for the reports. Whether the reports were true to what occurred is one question. The dead can't defend themselves. Even the living have issues: ask David C about that. The most important thing I see in this piece is the impression that all cyclists are most at fault in accidents by the way this was said. I can believe that there is a minority of cyclists running stop signs and red lights incurring a lion's share of accidents with injury and death, but it ignores the majority of cyclists who are more prudent. The real story is that riding irresponsibly is deadly. The more interesting story, or at least the other side of this one is those cases where the driver was at fault and the vulnerable cyclist was doing his or her best to be safe.
