Best "safety" vest/gilet for summer commuting?
It's going to be too warm soon to keep wearing my Sombrio lightweight "screaming yellow" windbreaker/rainjacket as an outer layer. Not a particularly well vented jacket, but isn't designed to be.

All of the cycling vests I've looked at seem to have reputations as "boil-in bags".

Anyone know of a cycling vest that's designed for warm weather riding?

I imagine any of the mesh safety vests shoul be pretty good. I have a designated screaming hi vis orange Descente shirt i use for commuting. It got to be the brightest ive ever seen, i swear it actually hurts to look at it. Got it for volunteering for our mararthon wheelchair escort.

Yeah, if ventilation is your concern I'd look at hi-viz zip tees/jerseys.

I commute in my street/work clothes. in the summer I just put on a cheap "construction worker" type mesh safety vest, that is hi-vis color with reflective stripes on it. Works for me.
