    Banjo Brothers Backpack/Pannier

    Curious if anyone is using one of these? I am a big banjo brothers fan, my gravel race bike is pretty much kitted out with Banjo only and I keep a nice phone wallet from them (won at event).

    So I am looking to replace a pannier a Seattle Sports Fast Pak, the bag is fine but is limited during days I have class with its space. So I was looking at the BB pannier but am also looking at the convertible backpack/pannier. It would help me move the bag around while at school or running a couple errands vs carrying the current bag like a crappy man purse.

    Any thoughts on this bag?

    zero experience here. how does the stuff that makes it rigid enough on the back side to work as a pannier not make it a horribly uncomfortable backpack? assuming there's some sort of an internal frame thing going on? Just curious.
    You have no excuse for driving to work
    (unless you don't have studded tires)
    (no excuse for that either)

    I've been using the Banjo Brothers Pannier/Backpack since late March/early April. I like it quite a bit. It replaced an Osprey Radial 34 that I just couldn't wear for my commute after being off the bike from getting hit by a car. I really like the function of the pack, but when it wears out I think I'm going to replace it with an Ortlieb QL3.0 messenger bag.

    If you have any other questions about it feel free to ask.

    @Texico.

    How about the question CommuterBoy asked about the rigid plate. I think from the brief moment I held one back in April it was just on the pannier side it had a rigid-ness to it.

    So I got the bag today (gift from gf for b day) and so far I really like it compared to my old Seattle Sport Works. Smart pocket on the outside and on the flap along with a open pouch I can throw whatever in. I installed the tabs for the hook and I do like the idea, however I am going to need a pan head bolt (wish they would have provided) to make it a easier on/off. Also the strap I did adjust for the hook but it is a stretch to get it on there. I have a PDW Payload Steel rack on the back of my Ogre.

    On the stiffner, it is only on the pannier side so it has a piece of plastic I imagine in there keep the mounting area stiff, however on the backpack side there is no stiffner.

    I had a metro pack and didn't care for it. Upgraded to an Osprey for the back ventilation. Now I only get huge sweat marks from the shoulder straps.

    I got more as a pannier with the chance of needing it off the bike without having lug it with one arm or carry it like a man purse.
