    Durango Conditions?

    Hi all,

I'm gonna be in Durango Wednesday next week. Is anything rideable?

    Thank you!

    No, no chance at all.
Maybe Sand Canyon, but that is Cortez.

How about road bike for Sunday and Monday (March 17th and 18th)? Or are the roads going to be wet from melt? I'll be in town visiting family and would love to ride. They're out on the Florida River not far from Elmore's store and doing the loop down Florida Road, East Animas, West Animas and back is fun (when Horse Gulch is too wet to ride). Or maybe just a day at Purgatory would make the most sense...

Rain the last 24 hours turning into snow again tonight: 5-14 inches at mid elevations.
Supposed to warm this weekend, though.

Purg just cracked 300 inches for the season with a 13 inch dump today another 15-20 coming in the next 24 hours. I’d go for that even though it’s spring break season.

I'm hoping to road ride this weekend, just be careful of all the gravel on the roads.
And given it is spring break for Texas or OK or some place, I'd avoid 550 heading up north towards Purg.
