Would snow postpone WP hill climb?

Possible 3 inch accumulation. Would they postpone for that? If so, when would they make that decision?

Hoping an insider can save me a wasted trip. Thanks.

I would guess that 3 inches of snow would postpone a race. They postponed the Mary Jane Circuit in the 2008 season due to snow.

They usually post up something on the website, I would check there first. They actually are pretty pro-active about keeping people informed.

It might snow, but the ground's warm enough that it probably won't accumulate.

    From the Wp website

Saturday and Sunday -> Cooler, showery, thunderstorms, plus snow down to 9,500 feet on Sunday (pretty low snow level for June); The weakened low pressure system starts moving in with drastically cooler temperatures and scattered to numerous rain and snow showers across the area, developing Saturday morning. Pretty heavy rains are possible, and may account for up to/ over 1 inch of water across many areas on Saturday alone. High elevation snow is expected Saturday (11,000 feet), with possibly a few inches to 1/2 foot of accumulation above 11,000 feet (we may even see a foot above timberline). On Sunday the colder center of this weakened but still much colder than average low pressure system passes across Colorado, with snow levels dropping to near 9,500 feet. 1 to 3 inches of snowfall are possible down to the Winter Park Resort base elevation, with cold rain showers and a snow mix in town (or all snow if the storm is colder than expected). This is unusual for mid-June.

I am soo happy that i got to work now it would be a waste to go up there this weekend.

My drive over Berthoud was crazy, turned around at the top which seemed like a wise decision. Took the car up instead of the Yukon which was a bad move, almost got stuck on some of the switchbacks but I didn't think it was going to be that bad.

Yeah, I was a little perturbed after driving up there, only to see they changed their minds. I understand the confusion, though, after seeing the webcam at 7 AM. See y'all Saturday.
