    Where the goods were today

    Lake Pueblo State Park

An inch at most on top of frozen dirt, 98% rideable, 100% fun. A long way to drive, but well worth the effort.

I had gotten up, looked outside and resigned myself to the trainer, peaked at this forum and saw PBR's 3 Sister's ride, humbled and feeling like big pus, I decided to give this frozen mountain biking thing a try. The plan was to go down to Palmer Park but it was blowing sideways from Monument through the Springs so I just kept on driving. I had the entire state park to myself, well, me and the state park patrol guy, remember to pay them fees. I had, so no interaction there but he was eying me as I was packing up.

The trail was 75% dusting on top of frozen dirt, 20% snow pack on one side and fine on the other and about 5% crush through the frozen snow. Fast fun trails out there, had a ball.
