    Warm weather?

    http://www.cnn.com

Allegedly this warm weather is here to stay for the year. Not just an early spring teaser.

When will (inset high country ride here) be ready?

I think places like Summit County below 10,000 feet will be ready by the beginning of May. Then, depending on the aspect, things above 10K will be riding by end of May/early June. There just isn't **** for snowpack up there right now and I don't see how, at this stage, it will get to a growing point. It's only going to get smaller and smaller. Maybe we'll get 1-3 more good sized storms, but that will melt off fast. Already tons of dirt showing!

And lots of arsonists. The authorities are calling the spate of recent fires "human caused and that's all we're going to say".

edit: I've never typed the word "spate". There, I just did again.
