    Tire question

In the new issue of Mountain Bike Action there's a little article that mentions running a 2.1 Kenda Small Block Eight in the rear and a more aggressive tire, like a 2.35 Kenda Nevegal. Does anyone run something similar to this here in the front range?

I know of a couple of people with Nevegals front and Small Block 8s rear they like that setup.

I put on a set of Small Block 8s (2.3 front, 2.1 rear) about 2 months ago and really like the tires. They seem to be well suited for the trail surfaces along the front range.

    Of course YMMV.

Thanks for the quick response! Sounds like it will be a better combo than my stock tires (not like they've given me problems) but it's time for a change!

I am digging the kenda Excavator 2.35 DTC on the front in Colorado more than the 2.35 Nevegal. I have been tempted to try the SB8 on the rear but I always worry about the rear hanging with the front on hard cornering.
