Thanks to DaveM, Migz, and LeeMan...

for such an awesome ride today. I'm sunburned and totally beat, and amazed at Migz' controlled-craziness, Lee's stamina, and Dave's optimism...all the right things, and it's only March!

Sometime we'll have to get some beers and do it proper...sometime when I'm not hopelessly hurried and late to begin with....

    So, where's all them pics?

    Stef:

I was amazed you could push that SS up a giant mountain twice! (not to mention
all the ups and downs on the trail) And you never complained! Great job.

I also am looking forward to pics from DaveM and Migz. I think we should
rename Migz to HansReyJr. I never thought I'd live to see somebody ride down those steps. I can barely walk them!

Whoa, you're not talking the Walker Ranch steps are you? I'd love to see someone ride down those.

Those are child's play compared to what we bore witness to today! These were 20 meters or so of washout protection and decomposed granite at Horsetooth, and surely would have left me at least sore and at most, and more likely, hospitalized if I'd attempted them. Unfortunately, there were no cameras rolling at the time!

Perhaps not Walker, but gonzo none the less

I may disagree (a little) with SDizzle. The steps at Walker are beyond comprehension.

But the steps coming down the trail from Horsetooth Rock to the parking lot
are bizare, as well. They don't have the exposure (i.e. 100-ft drop) that Walker
has, but I agree with Stef: a fall here would mean broken bones.

Wow. Since Migz did most of the picture taking, and he was the one going down
the steps, we didn't get pictures, but take my word for it: these steps are unridable
    by us mere humans.

And props to Dave, who rode the top 2 or 3 steps: 2 or 3 more than I'd ever consider
    riding.

Dave, Migz, and Stef all rode stuff that's scared me for years -- very humbling.

    Too much fun playin' hookey...

Truly guys, that ride gets a bookmark in the memorial ride book! What a great day, and it's still winter!!

I wish that I'd taken more pics, but I was havin' too much fun. Didn't get one of Sdizzle (Stephan), 'cause he was always on my @$$ (awesome performance on the single, BTW)

Wow!, I still have a perma-grin on my face!!!! Nice to meet and ride with you, Stephan & Lee! And a nice start to hopefully many a ride with Miguel this summer!

    YEEEEEEEHAAAAAWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Great Photos!

    Hi Dave:

Great photos, particularly of Migz! Thanks!

I also enjoyed both the ride and the company. I lost the grin after 4 beers, but
I'm still grinning on the inside.

We'll have to do beer and lunch at OBs next time.

My legs are gonna be so sore tomorrow.

OK. Too much celebratory beer for Stefan. Walker, not White. I was trying hard to figure out what steps at White were so hard! Geez--no, the steps at Walker are completely unrideable.

Another nice photo! I thought it'd take you months to paste the panarama pics together!
    (what software do you use?)

Just a reminder of how sweet that ride was!

Photoshop (7 on one machine [PC], Elements 2 on another [Mac]). And, if I did any of the other things I should be doing, it would take me months to do works like those...
